 "White Noise, Agent White Noise... sir." the unicorn replied without bothering to look at the dark gray pegasus. It was hard to tell if her horn was glowing or not, the light seemed to be sparse flickers of white amidst a sort of neutral gloom, like static on a telelvision screen.

Riptide barely felt the magic field settle over her, though something felt different. It as like a mixture of melancholy and freedom, and the realization that nopony was looking at her anymore. It was like the opposite of stealth, she could tell it would require effort on the kelpie's part to attract anypony's attention. It was like being invisible with absolutely none of the glamour.

Sharp Wit frowned after a minute. "Well?" he snapped, "are you going to demonstrate your spell, or simply stand there with your feathers ruffled?"

The white mare looked at Riptide and raised an eyebrow. The kelpie got an impish grin as she crept behind the impatient pegasus and carefully extended a pseudopod to tap his opposite shoulder...
