A slight problem.
2014-07-06 06:34 Jack Harness found himself at a loss for words. "So none of us have any idea where the Doctor is?" He eventually managed...
Elsewhere, A brown pony and an orange over goldenrod pony ran for their lives. The mare spared a glance to glare at the stallion, "Is this a regular thing with you!? I don't see how she puts up with it."
"I swear..." the brown pony gasped, "This... *huff* wasn't *puff* my ... hahh ... fault!" They turned a corner, three of the chitinous nightmare ponies snapping at their heels, only to come face to face with...
"No, I just said we don't." Sharp Wit scowled, completely missing the raised hoof of his compatriot as he continued. "What I asked you was what you plan to do about any of this."
The blue pegasus shook his head vigorously, and when his head came to rest again, he seemed to have found a new focus. "Standard Temporal containment procedure, First we find the scar left over from the hole, scan it, and try to find whatever is left-over that still contains the temporal signature of the tear... that will be what's keeping it from sealing over and allowing the time-stream to heal itself."
'Hmm, innnteresting. One might think he knows something about temporal mishaps... but he's holding something back.'
'I already noticed that, stop trying to pretend you're doing anything useful.'
"And wha–" The Inspector began.
"That is going to be difficult." Primeval interrupted, having finally become impatient enough to do so. "The hole didn't tear across space, it tore across time."
The Captain raised his eyebrows, "How could you possibly know that?" It might have sounded like an inquiry, but anyone paying attention could tell he really, really didn't want an answer.
"The Doctor sent a message–" The evolutionary continued.
"I thought you didn't know where he was?" The blue stallion interrupted
"Message? When in Tartarus did we get a messa..." '...Oh.' 'Oh indeed.' 'Shut it.'
"The transmission was very short, a precise anachronolgy is still impossible, but suffice to say that they 'key' won't enter our timestream for approximately eighteen years." Primeval concluded.
