Making Waves
2014-06-07 20:36 "Right," the brown pony nodded dumbly, escorting the kelpie to the door. "Er, may I ask if you found what you were looking for?"
Ebb grinned, "Certainly, you can ask."
Several moments went by, and finally the pony from Gallopfrey blinked, "Ah, ha ha hah, I see. Well, then: 'Did you find what you were looking for?'."
"More or less." The Kelpie nodded.
The time pony couldn't tell if she was serious or not, "How did you... ?"
Ebb Flow stopped in front of the doorway, "You mean to say you have never..." the elder frowned, studying the brown pony intently, "No, I suppose it isn't something that would occur to you. Yes, you have my approval to take Riptide traveling further, if only for her to realize on her own that she does not require your help."
Cain sat silently, ears flat to his head.
[error, error, error...] Primeval sat and blinked.
"But... but, that doesn't even make any sense!" Scribble shouted, unable to contain his outburst.
"Indeed," Sharp Wit frowned, rubbing his chin. "You've dragged us halfway across creation, risked our lives in both meaningful and meaningless places and now–"
"Yes I did that, and it was bloody stupid of me. I am going to make sure that doesn't happen anymore." The Doctor put his hoof down, "I am taking each of you back to your own times, and that is final."
Ebb grinned, "Certainly, you can ask."

The Doctor began to reply, but stopped and laughed at himself instead. "Well, you're not far wrong. All I can do now is try to fix the damage I have already caused."
Rather than say anything, the old seahorse simply gave the time stallion a flat look before exiting.
The Doctor watched her leave before turning back to the others... minus Ako and Riptide for obvious reasons. "Well then, I suppose you're all wondering why I've called you all together like this..."
The assembled crowd milled around for a minute as Ebb walked back to the center at her own pace.
Finally Longshore lost his patience. "Well?"
Flow stretched out her back, "It smacks of destiny, Queen Riptide," She turned to address the gargantuan figure, "You have my blessing for your journey, though I do beg that you come back as soon as you can. For our part, we'll try to honor your wishes and prepare as well as we can for your return."
There was a collective sigh from the gathered populace, a feeling that the need for debate had been lifted from their shoulders.
That lasted until Longshore turned to the newly crowned Queen of the Deep. "My Queen, can you give us some clue about when you will return? It would make the waiting easier to bear if we had some sort of idea." He bowed his head, though he turned it so one eye was pointed at Riptide.
