Getting to the point

Sharp ignored Ako's warnings as he zoomed in close to the blue behemoth, trying hard to aim his blade at the creature. Seeing an opening to slice off one of its claws, the pegasus increased his speed tenfold, steeling himself for what he was sure was going to be the splatter of blood.
That, unfortunately, was not the case.
The claw that Sharp was aiming for almost seemed to anticipate his attack, grabbing the blade directly and stopping him dead in his tracks. With a terrifying snapping sound, the claw broke the blade of the sword cleanly in half, as if it were a piece off a chocolate bar.
Sharp, fortunately, was quick enough to dodge the claw before it could make a grab for him. He was almost somewhat pleased at this new development, seeing as it had made the sword much easier to handle for him. Adjusting it in his mouth, he flew away to the corner of the chamber, out of the blue creature's reach. Alrighty then, that didn't go as well as I would have liked... New strategy- if I'm fast enough to dodge the creature, that means I might be able to get in a few good swipes... Now, to find a weak spot...
 Sharp glanced around the creature's shell, but could not find one single fold in the armor that wasn't closely guarded by a claw or a pincer. It suddenly occurs to me that if killing this thing was that easy, Ako would have been done with this by now, he realized.
Ooh, here's an idea! the Dark Voice snickered. Why don't you go flying at it like a suicidal idiot again.
... You know what? I think I will!  Sharp grinned to himself, an idea forming in his head. He zoomed in close to the creature again, this time deliberately baiting it towards him. The blue monster attempted to catch him with his pincers again, but the former Inspector was always just out of reach.
Sharp caught Ako staring at him, obviously not knowing whether or not to be furious. "There's a chink in the armor just below the right claw!" he hollered, barely dodging an azure claw. "Go for it!"
