Scribble plopped down in one of the chairs, giving Stompson a weary look.
"Yeah..." He admitted. " We weren't given much time to bring anything. Basically all we had was what we got." And he'd already given away the few bits he'd had back at that space market. Maybe they should go get them back...
A menu landed in front of him, shaking him out of his thoughts. "I'll give you a few minutes to decide what you want, unless I can get you started with anything?" The waitress stated. Scribble could already note the hesitation in her tone.
"This one..." Cain-9 began, "Ah, I would like the blended concoction known as coffee." He concluded. "Please."
"Ah... yeah. He's new here. Foreigners, you know." Scribble blinked and flipped his menu open, briefly scanning it. "You can start with me. I'll have, uh-"
"Wait," The Waitress looked down at Scribble and her face lit up. "Scribble! Hey, we haven't seen you in a while! Sugar Spoon will be happy to see you."
Scribble chuckled lightly. "Ah, yeah. I've been pretty busy."
"Oh! Did you finally get one of your manuscripts published?"
"Uh, no."
"Did you get that letter back from Flammarion?"
He sunk a little in his seat. "No."
"Oh." The waitress paused briefly. "Uh, well, I know what you'll have, since you're a regular. What'll your... friends have?"
